Cypress Creek Renewables is based in Santa Monica, California, and specializes in the nationwide construction and operation of utility-scale solar energy generation facilities.

Specific work performed includes all entitlements and permitting, real estate tasks that vary by project (some projects are on ground leases, others involve purchased land, tax advice, local opinions supporting construction financing and permanent tax credit financing, and resolution of disputes.

D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments

The D. E. Shaw group is a global investment and technology development firm that has invested in over two dozen solar and wind projects. Our representation of D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments has included performing real estate and permitting due diligence, corporate and lending transactions, and resolution of title issues for purchase of a utility scale solar facility.

Brng Renewables

BNRG Renewables is an international developer, constructor and owner/ operator of solar projects based in Dublin, Ireland. Our attorneys advise BNRG on all real estate and permitting issues with their United States portfolio, composed of 10 utility-scale solar projects in Oregon. The portfolio includes approximately 125 acres of solar facilities with nameplate generation of approximately 35 MW.

Currently, seven of these projects are operational. The balance of the projects are under contract to a purchaser that will begin construction in 2020. Specific work performed by Ball Janik includes entitlements and permitting, real estate advice, tax advice, advice and opinions supporting construction financing and permanent tax credit financing, and resolution of disputes.
