Joe Carlisle is a proven business and litigation attorney with more than 20 years of experience guiding clients through complex legal matters and commercial transactions. His practice includes a mix of contract and business disputes, real estate litigation, and corporate transactions, with an emphasis on the healthcare, veterinary, and small business sectors, including startups.
Known for his practical approach and strategic insight, Joe represents clients in state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation, and regularly advises on contract negotiation and business formation. He brings a dual perspective as both a litigator and business advisor, helping clients manage risk while advancing their goals. Joe recognizes that each matter he works on is that client’s most important legal matter, and thus he strives to provide each client with the same level of service regardless of the size or complexity.
Joe serves on the board Portland Animal Wellness (PAW) Team, and is a member of the American Health Law Association, American Bar Association, and Multnomah County Bar Association. He previously served with the U.S. District Court of Oregon Historical Society and United Cerebral Palsy of Birmingham.
Outside the office, Joe spends time with his wife, kids, and three dogs, explores the outdoors, plays guitar and mandolin, and chases live music whenever possible. He is a devoted Florida Gators fan.
