J. David Zehntbauer

David Zehntbauer is a partner at Dunn Carney LLP where he practices real estate and corporate law. He leads the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group and is also an active member of the Business & Corporate Practice Group and Agriculture & Natural Resources team.
David has extensive experience in commercial property acquisitions and dispositions as well as commercial and residential leasing, lease enforcement and secured financing on behalf of both lenders and borrowers. In addition to his real estate expertise, David routinely advises closely held businesses ranging in size and industry regarding entity selection, formation and financing, mergers and acquisitions and asset and stock sale transactions.
David is a responsive and practical deal maker who maintains a view of the big picture and the best interests of his client. He is adept at identifying risks and works to minimize them while facilitating smooth closings for his clients.
In addition to leading Dunn Carney’s Real Estate Practice Group, David is the chair of Dunn Carney Cares, the firm’s private foundation providing emergency assistance to employees and their families.
David lives with his wife in Northeast Portland where he is active working out, playing golf and enjoying the many outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. He spends as much time with his two college-age daughters as they will allow.
