I. Kenneth Davis

Senior Of Counsel

Ken Davis is a partner at Dunn Carney LLP where his business, real estate, and estate planning and administration practice reflects the broad range of counsel he provides to closely-held businesses and individuals. Ken started with the firm as a law clerk and has been with Dunn Carney for more than 30 years.

Ken’s work with closely-held businesses includes helping business owners structure their business entities, negotiating and drafting contracts, assisting with the purchase and sale of businesses, helping document and close real estate transactions, and planning for business succession.

In his estate planning and administration practice, Ken helps a range of individuals craft estate plans that are tailored to their needs, and drafts wills and trusts to implement those plans. When it comes time to carry out the plan, Ken assists family members with the administration of the estate through a probate and/or trust administration, striving to make the process as straightforward as possible during what is always a difficult time.

Ken works on real estate finance transactions in conjunction with members of the firm’s Real Estate Team. He regularly assists with the closing of multi-million dollar loans for commercial real estate developers and investors.

In addition to his legal expertise, Ken draws on his personal experience in business to craft solutions that address the day-to-day issues faced by owners of closely-held businesses. Prior to law school, Ken worked as an independent property and casualty insurance agent and principal with a family-owned insurance agency. He also worked in commercial real estate leasing with a prominent Oregon firm. In college, Ken honed his analytical and problem-solving skills as a student of the sciences.

Away from the office, you are likely to find Ken with a camera in hand, photographing people, both out on the street and at festivals, and occasionally in more formal photo shoots.  Ken is also a fan of audio book mysteries and devoted to his family.
