Heather L. Guthrie

Partner

Heather Guthrie is a partner at Dunn Carney who focuses on estate planning and administration. She leads the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration Team, and also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Heather’s practice includes developing comprehensive plans for estates of all sizes, with an emphasis on legacy-building for families and individuals using complex tax-planning strategies. Heather also assists clients in establishing and administering guardianships and conservatorships, and through probate and post-mortem trust administration.

Heather prides herself on building close connections with her clients and structuring estate plans that reflect each client’s unique values and goals.

Active in the community, Heather currently serves on the OHSU Foundation Gift Planning Council. She served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette from 2013-2020, serving as Board President from 2017-2020. She also served on the Estate Planning Council of Oregon from 2017-2020.

When not working, Heather can be found courtside at her teenage daughter’s volleyball games or “glamping” in an Airstream trailer in the woods with her family (husband Gil, daughter Ellie, and Labrador Retrievers Zeus and Thor). Her favorite destinations include Lost Lake on Mount Hood and Beverly Beach State Park on the Oregon Coast.
