Cassandra A. Snelling

Schahrzad Ziaee, Practice Assistant

Cassandra Snelling focuses her practice on construction and real property litigation, representing contractors, commercial property owners, and developers in disputes involving construction defect, products liability, and property damage claims. She also has engaged in civil litigation in a variety of other areas including real estate disputes, business disputes, elder abuse claims, personal injury claims, and contractual disputes. She has worked for clients in state and federal court, and routinely represents clients in private arbitration. She regularly guides matters to resolution through strategic motion practice, direct negotiation, judicial settlement conferences, and mediation.

Clients rely on Cassandra for her thorough preparation, balanced judgment, keen attention to detail, and clear, consistent communication. She is known for her ability to distill complex issues into practical, actionable advice and to guide clients confidently through challenging disputes.

Priding herself on being a “double-duck,” Cassandra earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and went on to attend the University of Oregon School of Law. During law school, she served as an Articles Editor and Associate Editor for the Oregon Review of International Law, as well as the Co-Director on the Executive Board of Directors of the Oregon Law School Public Interest Fund. She also participated in the Non-Profit Clinic serving the Oregon nonprofit community.

She subsequently clerked for the Honorable Maureen McKnight of the Multnomah County Circuit Court, gaining insight into judicial decision-making that continues to shape her strategic approach to litigation.

In addition to her litigation practice, Cassandra is deeply committed to service and mentorship within the legal community. She serves as the Chair of the Multnomah Bar Association’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and mentors students through Portland State University’s Explore the Law Program, as well as students at the University of Oregon. She also serves on the Board of Directors as Secretary for Camp Myrtlewood.
