Marsha Murray-Lusby, Partner

Marsha Murray-Lusby is a partner at Dunn Carney whose practice emphasizes estate planning and administration. Her practice includes the preparation of wills and trusts; the administration of all types of trusts; the administration of probate estates; estate and gift tax planning; preparation of estate and gift tax returns; and post-mortem planning particularly involving tax, disclaimer, and environmental issues. Although Marsha represents clients in many different types of businesses and with varied assets, she has helped many agri-business families with their unique challenges of estate and tax planning.

Marsha was selected by her peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America 2013-2016 in the field of Trusts and Estates. In 2016, she was ranked in Chambers USA’s new High Net Worth Guide for Private Wealth Law. She has been included on the Top Rated Lawyer in Trusts & Estates for her AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2012-2015, Marsha was selected for inclusion in Oregon Super Lawyers in Estate Planning. In 2011, 2012 and 2014, Marsha was named to the Five Star Professional List in Estate Planning in the Portland Area.

In 2013, she was  chair of the Oregon State Bar Estate Planning and Administration Executive Committee. One of the roles of this committee is to recommend new state laws in Estate planning and Administration or suggest changes to the laws. Marsha currently serves on the Oregon Law Commission work group which is working to modernize Oregon’s probate code. She is also a member of Portland Estate Planning Council and a frequent lecturer on trust and estate topics. She has been quoted in national magazines such as Forbes and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine on estate planning issues and has appeared on MSNBC regarding estate tax issues.
