Dunn Carney Promotes Four Attorneys to Partner

Dunn Carney is pleased to announce that attorneys Joseph Carlisle, Marjorie Elken, Angie Otto and Kevin Sasse have been named partner at the firm.

Joseph Carlisle joined Dunn Carney in 2022 and has practiced law for 18 years in Oregon and Alabama. Joe is an experienced business litigator who regularly represents clients in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate level. His practice is focused on business and property disputes, as well as emerging businesses, small business transactions, leases and business advice. He serves as co-chair of Dunn Carney’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Advancement) Squad.

Marjorie Elken joined the firm in 2022, and has practiced law in Oregon for 16 years. Her practice focuses on corporate and business matters for closely-held businesses, both small and large.  Margie spent the first half of her career as a commercial litigator, and she now uses that experience to help keep her clients out of the courthouse.  She regularly advises on entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, day-to-day business matters, negotiation of key contracts and financing. She serves as the leader of Dunn Carney’s Business Team.

Angela Otto joined the firm in January 2023, and has nearly 25 years of experience practicing construction law in Oregon and Washington. Her practice is dedicated to the representation of general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and developers in construction contracting, claim avoidance and, when necessary, prosecuting and defending construction disputes through mediation, arbitration and litigation. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education and construction industry courses and seminars, and an active member in AGC and CFMA and several other industry organizations.

Kevin Sasse joined Dunn Carney in January 2022 and has become a key member of the firm’s Litigation Team. Kevin is a versatile litigator, with experience in commercial, real estate, construction defect, insurance coverage, probate, and environmental litigation. Kevin is the Case Notes Editor for The Verdict and the Chair of Dunn Carney’s Pro Bono Committee.
