Construction & Design

Our goal is to help clients keep projects on track

Dunn Carney’s Construction and Design Team represents owners, developers, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and sureties in all phases of public and private construction projects and the running of their businesses. We are a licensed creator of AIA agreements and regularly develop these and other contract forms for clients.

Dunn Carney attorneys are experienced in the construction industry and the law, so we can effectively identify risks, evaluate issues and opportunities, craft solutions and, when necessary, represent clients in litigation. Our goal is to help construction clients keep their projects and businesses on track.

We know construction processes and procedures, so we’re able to resolve disputes quickly and efficiently.

Construction defect claims are a major area of our construction litigation practice. We are experienced in representing all parties to construction defect litigation, including owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers, materials suppliers, product manufacturers, as well as the insurers of these parties and professionals.

We’ve represented construction defect claims that involve airport facilities, apartment buildings, condominium buildings, floating homes, homeowner associations and townhomes, retail and distribution centers, senior living centers and single family residences.

We strive to win but always keep in mind the economic objectives of the client. When possible we participate in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
