Appellate Court Upholds Win for Dunn Carney Client

The Oregon Court of Appeals upheld a $1.5 million judgment last week in favor of plaintiffs Neal and Nancy Kaste, represented by Dunn Carney litigator Anne Foster.

The lawsuit accused Land O’Lakes Purina Feed of selling defective feed to the Kastes, who own a dairy farm in Tillamook. The Kastes claimed that after eating the feed, many of their cows fell ill or died as a result. A jury agreed, and awarded the plaintiffs $750,000 in damages plus attorney fees. The Oregon Court of Appeals rejected all of Land O’Lakes’ arguments for lesser payment.
