Jan. 22 – Dunn Carney’s new Bankruptcy attorney, Chris Parnell, gave a presentation on “Introduction to Bankruptcy Law and Procedure” at the Introduction to Legal Concepts Boot Camp sponsored by Lewis & Clark Law School at the OHSU Center for Health and Healing.
Jan. 25- Dunn Carney hosted the International Trademark Association (INTA) Roundtable on Trademark Law in the Fashion and Apparel Industries. Justin Aida led the roundtable discussion. Merrill Baumann, Laura Althouse and David Zehntbauer also attended.
Feb. 4 – Jack Cooper made an Antitrust presentation to chairs of National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) Industry Groups
Feb. 24- John Miller will make a presentation on Article 2 to National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) in a webinar.
March 3- Eric Kekel was a moderator for a panel addressing Challenges in Funding Settlements in Construction Defect Cases at the MC Consultants meeting in Portland.
March 3- Jack Cooper will present a Webinar entitled, Are You Playing “The Price is Right” or “Jeopardy”? – Avoiding Price Discrimination Claims.
March 7-9-Dunn Carney was a sponsor of the 2011 Oregon Dairy Farmers Annual Convention. Elizabeth Howard made a presentatin at the Convention.
March 17 Bill Joseph will speak with Joel Dietzman, Anchor Insurance & Surety, Inc. at the AGC University on Insurance Basics for Contractors. This course was open to anyone interested in learning more about insurance, a main strategy used by contractors to manage risk.

Jan. 20-Portland Human Resources Management Association (PHRMA) monthly luncheon. Tamsen Leachman is the luncheon speaker and her topic is Looking Back and Planning Ahead, Understanding Your Legal Risks and Challenges in 2010.
Jan. 27- Melissa Busley will be speaking at the Pearls of Wisdom seminar for the Agriculture Show at the Expo Center. She will be on a panel addressing business succession planning/exit strategies, retirement planning and long term care needs.
Feb. 11- Bill Joseph spoke at the monthly luncheon of the Homebuilders Association of Portland on Contracts–Dos, Don’ts and Musts.
Feb. 18-Construction Lien Seminar-John Chambers and Tim Hering will make the presentations on Lien basics, how bankruptcy, receiverships and FDIC takeovers affect lien claims, key differences between Oregon and Washington Lien Law and traps for the unwary.
Feb. 24-Employment Law Seminar-Best Practices in 2010–Employee Use and Abuse of Family and Medical Leave, Disability Accommodation Requests, and Injured Workers and Return to Work Issues. Tamsen Leachman and Kris Kennet of Aon Risk Services made the presentations.
March 4—AGC University–Oregon-Columbia Chapter– Bill Joseph will speak on Getting Paid: Oregon Construction Liens-Private Work at the AGC Center in Wilsonville.
