Governmental Affairs
Dunn Carney is proud to provide governmental affairs services to our clients to assist them with issues related to local or state government. We work with our clients to address their pre-legislation questions as well as guide them through the legislative process and rulemaking activities. This includes:
- Determining legislative goals.
- Researching how other jurisdictions have drafted similar legislation/ordinances.
- Drafting legislation.
- Testifying on the specifics of the bill and answering legislator questions in one-on-one meetings as necessary during the session.
- Assisting in rulemaking process.
- Acting as in-house Legal Counsel as needed.
- Making connections with governmental officials at the local, state or federal level.
- Our clients appreciate our assistance in navigating the legislative process and advising them on strategy.
