Laura N. Althouse, Associate
Laura was a summer associate at Dunn Carney in 2006. She attended the University of Oregon School of Law where she received a distinguished service award for her work as a Managing Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. In her second year, Laura competed in the Western Regional National Appellate Advocacy Competition, winning seventh place in the oral advocacy category. Laura also served as a Campbell Child Advocacy Fellow during her final year of law school. After passing the Oregon State Bar, Laura joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Prior to law school, Laura worked as a fundraising manager at a national non-profit organization. She also taught English in Madrid, Spain, following her undergraduate studies. Laura remains passionate about child advocacy and has published an article on multiple parenthood in the Summer 2008 issue of the Hastings’ Women’s Law Journal.
