Jay Chock’s practice concentrates in trial and resolution of complex cases. Jay has tried over 130 jury trials in the state and federal courts of Oregon and Washington in addition to resolving numerous cases through arbitration. Jay’s over 25 years of experience spans litigation areas as diverse as intellectual property, job-site injury, products liability, fire loss, nursing home litigation, church litigation and construction defects.
In 2009, the Litigation Counsel of America selected Jay R. Chock for inclusion in their trial honorary society. Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and superior ethical reputation. In 2006-2011, Oregon Super Lawyers recognized Jay as a Super Lawyer in Litigation. Jay was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2012 and 2011 in the field of personal injury defense litigation. From 2003-2005, Jay served as head of the Litigation Practice Group.
