Elizabeth E. Howard, Partner

Elizabeth E. Howard is a partner at Dunn Carney, where her practice focuses on water law, environmental and natural resources law, and agricultural law.  She represents clients in real estate and business transactions, in negotiations with state and federal administrative agencies, and in court and administrative proceedings at both the state and federal level.  Elizabeth leads Dunn Carney’s Environmental Group and its Agricultural and Natural Resource Team.  She is also a member of Dunn Carney’s Real Estate Group.

Elizabeth is a board member of the Western Resources Legal Center, is chair of the Agriculture Section of the Oregon State Bar, a member of the Environmental Section, speaks at organizational meetings, and helps other professionals learn about important natural resource and environmental issues through educational seminars.  She is a member of a number of state and national agricultural organizations and is involved in her local church.

In 2008-2011, Elizabeth was selected for inclusion in Rising Stars in Environmental Law by Oregon Super Lawyers.  In 2009, she was recognized in the Portland Business Journal as one of the most influential young business executives in the Portland Metro area in their Forty under 40 list.  Elizabeth was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2012 in the field of water law. She also received the 2011 College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Luminary Award from Oregon State University.
